IMPLOSION MAY BE THE ANSWER

MY LAST DESPERATE GASP OF BELIEF THAT THE REPUBLICAN PARTY CAN BE SAVED IS THAT MAYBE A COMPLETE IMPLOSION OF THE PARTY IN NOVEMBER BRINGS AN END TO THE DONALD TRUMP AND MAGA REPUBLICAN PARTY.

On July 2nd of last year I wrote a Blog beginning with the following:

REPUBLICAN LEADERSHIP DOESN’T LEAD, IT IS BEING LED, AND IT IS LOST

The current Republican leadership is no longer leading and is only capable of following the lead of those who continue to destroy the Republican Party and does not represent the Republicans who once reflected the Republican Party and its beliefs and ideals. The new Immigration Law in Florida provides a perfect example of where the Party is today and why there may be a path to move the Party past the current insanity that defines the “Republican” Party and only exists in its current form because the current Party is so focused on pleasing the extreme 30% of the Party. It’s Time for Real Republicans to Fix this Mess.com is not intended to be a place to attack specific Republicans but it is intended to point out the dysfunctional state of the Party as it currently exists and why if it is not fixed the party’s demise is certain.

That was almost a year ago and now its not hard to jump forward to today and see that matters have gotten worse as the Party is now 100% being led by Donald Trump, convicted on thirty-four felony counts and all of the Republican “leadership” is willing to kiss the ring and the MAGA members of the Party have only magnified and intensified their commitment to Donald Trump and all of the insanity he represents. All of this seems to point to the only conclusion being that there is no hope nor any chance the Party can be saved and returned to representing what it once represented. Given the current state of the Party it is hard not to conclude that there is no chance it will move past the insanity that prevails at every level. Therein lies my argument that only a complete implosion of the Party in the November election holds any possibility of the Party saving itself. The Party must suffer such an overwhelming defeat in November that even the Trump MAGA devotees will become so devoid of any strength that Trump and all of his followers will be stripped of any semblance of strength and therefore any capability to dominate the Party and dictate the direction of the Party. If the election devastation is significant enough to strip Trump and his followers of terrified Republicans into believing there is an alternative to Trump and the MAGA movement to either getting elected or more importantly, getting re-elected. All of the currently elected Trump and MAGA followers must be driven out of office with no hope of returning. In other words, the Party must implode so completely that there is nothing left of the Trump and MAGA members of Congress or members of State and local governments to provide for the Party structure that currently exists. In the venacular of Abraham Lincoln, the rottenness must be excised so entirely and thoroughly that the Party either completely collapses and is no longer a real party or the Party is so gutted that there is sufficient opportunity to rebuild it under its previous beliefs that can actually bring people like me back to being an active member of the Party.

I am not qualified to make any predictions and can only express what I believe must happen if the Party is to have any hope of survival and rebirth.
